I am an existential and mindfulness-based psychotherapist AMFT, counselor, and teacher with over 12 years experience working with adults, couples, families and teenagers. I help individuals to suffer less and cultivate greater awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being (distress tolerance). I’ve also been practicing and studying Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for over two decades. My interest with mindfulness began in 1999 when I began studying Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Jon Kabat-Zinn, inorder to solve my own anxiety and depression issues.

Since 2012, I have worked as a psychotherapist, integrating mindfulness into counseling to support clients facing anxiety, depression, grief, and other challenges. In 2017, I founded Wake Up Mindfulness Studio, where I led Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes, workshops, and certification programs. I have also worked extensively in inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment settings and a residential treatment center for at risk teens, facilitating mindfulness groups and providing one-on-one support for individuals navigating mental health and addiction recovery.

Beyond my work as a therapist and teacher, I am also an artist and writer, passionate about exploring the intersection of mindfulness and creative expression.
